About Brad Edwards
Distinguished leadership rooted in lived experience and purpose-driven impact
Transforming Adversity into Action
Brad Edwards is a distinguished leader who has transformed personal adversity into a purpose-driven mission to improve the lives of thousands of families nationwide. His work focuses on advancing maternal health, mental health, and strengthening the foundational structure of healthy families across diverse communities.
Edwards' advocacy is rooted in lived experience, shaped by the challenges of pregnancy loss, the journey of becoming a father for the second time, and the mental health strategies he employed to navigate profound personal change. These experiences inspired him to develop a sustainable philanthropic model dedicated to education, advocacy, and family empowerment.
“We ask men to lead, protect, and provide, yet rarely give them space to heal. Brotherhood should be a place of accountability and restoration. Creating those spaces for Black men isn’t optional for me; it’s intentional, necessary work.” — Brad M. Edwards
Through his work, Edwards has launched and led impactful initiatives, including Dear Fathers, Dads to Doulas, and Str8 Mental. He also serves as Director of Men's Programming for Doula Lab and is a respected public speaker, DEI advocate, business consultant, and author.

While Edwards operates at a high professional level, he intentionally meets men where they are, creating environments rooted in trust and empowerment. His work equips individuals with the tools, confidence, and self-awareness needed to navigate their personal journeys and extend that growth to others.
